National Wealth Fund is seeking an Assistant Director, Transport to lead advisory and lending engagements with local authorities across rail, mass transit, bus, roads and airports. You will drive due diligence, develop investable propositions, and guide projects from inception to delivery.

Based in Leeds with hybrid working, you will manage complex relationships and deliver financially sound infrastructure solutions aligned with the Fund’s net-zero and regional growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Essential experience financing or delivering local infrastructure investment.
• Ability to understand risks in transport infrastructure projects and mitigate them.
• Experience with Local Authorities, central Government bodies, or project finance/infrastructure transactions.
• Knowledge of one of the Fund’s priority sectors.
• Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Leadership in projects and autonomous delivery.
• Ability to lead teams and drive complex projects forward.

Responsabilités

• Represent the Fund and cement its reputation in local authority infrastructure financing and transport.
• Act as an ambassador at industry events and conferences.
• Build relationships across Local Authority executives and senior stakeholders.
• Network with investors, developers, banks and experts to create future opportunities.
• Lead projects and develop investable propositions with partners.
• Deliver advisory mandates and lead workshops, research and due diligence.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Fund to share knowledge and strategic plans.
