Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Associate Director or senior Principal Consultant to join the Development Planning and Management Team in the South East, based in London, St Albans, or Birmingham, to advise on a Spatial Planning Contract for a major client. The role focuses on transport planning across development proposals affecting the Strategic Road Network.

Qualifications

• Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Spatial/Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Chartered membership of CIHT/TPS/CILT is preferable.
• Extensive post-graduate experience in transport planning and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead on transport planning advice to protect SRN operation and performance.
• Oversee complex transport planning documents and client KPIs.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team of transport planners.
• Coordinate technical reviews and sign-off for development management recommendations.
