Job summary

AECOM is recruiting a Senior Consultant in Transport Planning for our Development Planning and Management Team in the UK. The role focuses on reviewing planning documentation for the Strategic Road Network, delivering technical reviews and mentoring junior staff within a hybrid London-area setup.

Candidates should have UK transport planning knowledge, modelling experience, and proficiency with industry tools. Join our global team delivering infrastructure projects with tangible impact.

Qualifications

• Degree in Transport Planning or related field.
• CIHT / TPS / CILT membership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of UK transport planning principles, policies and regulations.
• Experience mentoring junior staff.
• Experience in transport modelling (local and/or strategic).
• Proficiency in transport planning tools and Microsoft Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review planning docs for SRN development proposals.
• Carry out high-quality reviews of transport assessments and related docs.
• Mentor junior staff and manage workload.
• Build and maintain client relationships and support project delivery.
