Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Oxford is seeking an Associate Transport Planner to support and help lead projects from our Oxford office, with hybrid working available. The role requires delivering transport planning inputs across development projects, preparing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, undertaking modelling and accessibility studies, and helping to win work through strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Several years' experience in transport planning, ideally within consultancy.
• Strong technical report writing and analytical skills.
• Experience preparing development planning documentation.
• Demonstrable experience or strong interest in winning work, business development and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Leading transport planning inputs across a range of development projects.
• Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Undertaking transport modelling, accessibility assessments and active travel strategies.
• Managing client relationships and liaising with local authorities and stakeholders.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
• Playing an active role in business development, including identifying opportunities, building client relationships, contributing to bids and helping to secure new work.
• Supporting the commercial performance and growth of the Oxford team.
