Leicestershire County Council is recruiting a Senior Transport Planner in the Highway Development Management Team at County Hall, Leicester. The post is permanent, 37 hours per week, with salary between £45,309 and £49,407 per annum plus 10% market premia pro-rata for part-time.

You will support the Team Manager, respond to development consultations, negotiate S106 agreements, supervise team members and manage caseloads, helping deliver sustainable transport outcomes.

Competenze

• Hold a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent demonstrable work experience within highway development management. Must hold a full, clean driving licence.
• Experience of representing the department at a senior level.
• Experience of working in a multi-agency environment.
• Experience of supporting the development of transport policies and strategies of highway development management or land use planning.
• Conducting and managing packages of transport analysis or assessment work.
• Supervising and managing members of a team with varied workload, both in technical aspects and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of the planning process as it relates to highways and transportation and current legislation relevant to highways and transportation.
• Lead and deliver sustainable, high performance through leadership, the setting of clear priorities and a strong approach to performance management.
