Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Senior Transport Planner with experience in Highway Development Management and leadership. The role focuses on responding to development proposals, negotiating S106 agreements, and supervising team members within the Highway Development Management Team.

You will support the Team Manager, manage case loads, and contribute to strategic transport policies while maintaining high performance and stakeholder collaboration.

Competenze

• Hold a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent demonstrable work experience within highway development management.
• Experience of representing the department at a senior level in a multi-agency environment.
• Experience of supporting the development of transport policies and strategies of highway development management or land use planning.
• Conducting and managing packages of transport analysis or assessment work.
• Supervising and managing team members with varied workload and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of the planning process as it relates to highways and transportation and current legislation.

• Provide support to the Team Manager in the management of the Highway Development Management Team.
• Respond to consultations on development proposals throughout the development process.
• Negotiate S106 agreements and supervise team members’ workloads.
