Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Senior Transport Planner with experience in Highway Development Management and leadership. You will be a key member of the Highway Development Management Team, supporting the Team Manager, responding to consultations, and supervising staff.

The role requires a degree (or equivalent experience), a full driving licence, and strong knowledge of highways planning, with excellent communication and analytical abilities.

Competenze

• Hold a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent demonstrable work experience within highway development management.
• Must hold a full, clean driving licence.
• Experience representing the department at a senior level in a multi-agency environment.
• Experience supporting the development of transport policies and strategies of highway development management or land use planning.
• Conducting and managing packages of transport analysis or assessment work.
• Supervising and managing members of a team with varied workload, both in technical aspects and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of the planning process as it relates to highways and transportation and current legislation relevant to highways and transportation.
• Lead and deliver sustainable, collective high performance through leadership, the setting of clear priorities and a strong approach to performance management.
