Job summary

Time Appointments are seeking an experienced Senior Transport Operator based in Southampton to oversee the heart of a busy transport operation. You will coordinate drivers and vehicles, liaise with customers and suppliers, and keep the operation on track when plans change.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring deliveries run smoothly, maintaining records, and driving improvements across the transport team. A proactive, organized approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transport planning, coordination or operator role.
• Good knowledge of transport operations and logistics.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
• Good IT skills and experience using transport or logistics software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The confidence to deal with drivers, customers and suppliers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a calm approach under pressure.
• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
