Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an Associate Transport Planner to join our Bristol team. The role leads development-led transport projects, coordinating with clients, local authorities and internal teams to deliver transport planning solutions.

You will manage projects, contribute to bids, and mentor junior staff while supporting the growth of the consultancy through effective client engagement and opportunity identification.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transport planning consultancy.
• Proven track record delivering Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and related transport studies.
• Strong understanding of the UK development planning process.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and transport studies
• Managing projects from initial brief through to completion
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Providing transport planning advice to developers and landowners
• Liaising with local authorities and other industry stakeholders; supporting business development and identifying new opportunities
• Contributing to bids, proposals and winning new work
• Supporting and mentoring more junior team members
• Helping shape the growth and development of the business
