Job summary

Pegasus Group is seeking Senior Transport Planners to join our Transport Team in Bristol, with options to base in Bristol Central or Bristol North. You will support development planning through site selection, due diligence, and appraisal, through planning, design and implementation.

You will prepare Access Strategies, Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, and related traffic management and sustainable transport inputs.

Qualifications

• A degree-related subject (master’s in transport desirable).
• Familiar with policy guidance such as NPPF, DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20.
• Experience with TRICS database.
• Ability to set up and run junction modelling software, including Junctions 11.

Pegasus Group is currently on the lookout for talented and experienced Senior Transport Planners to join our growing Transport Team in either our Bristol Central or Bristol North offices.

What Are We Looking For.

We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join our team and be involved in supporting all aspects of development planning project work through the whole development cycle from site selection/due diligence and appraisal, through planning, design and implementation.

This will include preparing Access Strategies, Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Construction Traffic Management Plans, Parking Strategies, Sustainable transport / Active Travel, and inputs to Environmental Impact Assessment. You will be required to undertake junction modelling (Junctions 11 (Arcady, Picady) and LinSig),input to S106 negotiations, liaise with local highway authorities and much more.

You will work on a number of exciting, complex transport planning projects, with the support of our Directors and Transport team, and gain valuable experience and exposure across a range of sectors and a variety of clients on all scales/types of projects.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

• A degree in a related subject (a master’s degree in transport would be desirable)
• Policy and guidance such as NPPF, DMRB, , Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20 etc;
• Use of the TRICS database;
• Setting up and running of junction modelling software, including Junctions 11
