Job summary

Chaucer Syndicates Ltd in London seeks a Transport Logistics (TL) underwriting lead to shape strategy, mentor the TL team, and drive growth across global distribution and product mix.

You will own TL underwriting with Head of Marine, develop long-term plans, and ensure compliance with Lloyd's regulations and internal guidelines. Travel may be required to expand broker and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (Intermediate).
• Relevant professional qualifications such as Lloyds Introductory Test and ACII are desirable.
• GCSEs English and Maths are required as a baseline for the role.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term strategy for Chaucer's TL business across all hubs.
• Produce and present Business Plans for agreement by Underwriting management.
• Ensure the TL team underwrites in accordance with Business Plans and Syndicate Guidelines.
• Continuous assessment and development of TL class pricing models.
• Monitor premium data and maintain Lloyd's and Syndicate compliance.
