Job summary

Chaucer Syndicates Ltd. is seeking a Senior Class Underwriter to lead the Transport Logistics (TL) practice. You will work with the Head of Marine to craft strategy, build the business plan, and oversee underwriting and team development for Chaucer’s TL book.

You will drive growth through diverse distribution, manage pricing models, ensure Lloyd’s compliance, and maintain strong broker and client relationships globally.

Qualifications

• Significant underwriting experience at marine/transport logistics level.
• Experience leading broker negotiations and client liaison.
• Understanding of actuarial rating and business planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Set and own Chaucer TL strategy with Head of Marine.
• Develop long-term TL business plans across platforms and hubs.
• Produce Business Plans for approval by Underwriting management.
• Peer review risks and ensure compliance with guidelines and Lloyd's regulations.
• Monitor portfolio performance and ensure data accuracy for Charisma.
