Job summary

Chaucer, a leading Lloyd’s London Market insurer, seeks a Delegated Authority Portfolio Specialist within the Marine Underwriting team in London. You will implement and manage delegated authority portfolio processes, support internal stakeholders and coverholder relationships, and drive portfolio development.

You will oversee risk governance, data analytics, endorsements, and renewals, build client relationships across markets, and contribute to strategic projects to meet Chaucer’s long-term

Qualifications

• ACII Qualification (or equivalent) required or progress towards completion.
• Delegated Authority experience specific to the Lloyd’s London Market.
• Experience negotiating with brokers and liaising with clients.
• Understanding of business planning process.
• Organised and able to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Able to communicate with different levels and is adaptable.
• Resilient and able to work in a pressured environment.
• Works as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage full suite of delegated portfolio processes including initial setup, weekly management and renewal.
• Governance, data and portfolio analytics, compliance and regulatory oversight and relationship oversight.
• Endorsements / amendments / promised lines in accordance with underwriting authority.
• Special acceptances and referrals to binding authorities, line-slips and treaties.
• Develop long-term client relationships including where appropriate foreign travel.
• Chair or participate in special projects to meet Chaucer’s long-term objectives.
• Analyze underwriting data to provide modelling information for underwriting.
