The role leads a team to develop and transition training devices, manage stakeholders, and drive risk-aware project delivery with a focus on learning technologies and modern training systems.

The successful candidate will work within the Defence sector, travel up to 25%, and supervise activities across a broad partner network while aligning with safety and quality

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• Experience in design, development, manufacture and acceptance of complex training devices.
• Strong understanding and application of Systems Engineering and Systems Thinking.
• Solid understanding of synthetic training technologies and techniques.
• Working within the DSAT (Defence Systems Approach to Training) process.
• Experience managing projects and personnel.
• Experience presenting to management and senior leaders.
• Writing and communication skills.
• MS Office suite usage (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience with training system integration, blended learning and LMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in development, integration and transition into service of training devices.
• Manage stakeholders across the training system integration and readiness spectrum.
• Draft training device specifications and assess tender responses.
• Proactively manage integration risks and deliver solutions to meet schedule.
• Support validation of ITS for TiS with external teams.
• Be a senior member of the Project Delta delivery management team.
• Support external validation activities for the ITS with the consortium.
• Provide data to inform project status to leadership and customers.
• Coordinate meetings and tasks throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Coach and mentor subordinates and stay current with technologies and learning practices.
• Assist in creating project plans and BoEs to meet scope, budget and quality.
