Job summary

SWARCO UK is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Birmingham team, delivering traffic signals, signs and ITS systems on a major local contract. You will install, maintain and commission equipment, and lead on-site activities with a practical, safety-first mindset.

You will mentor Engineers and Trainee Engineers, support fault-finding, and participate in standby and call-out rotations as required to keep systems running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in traffic signal, ITS, signs, electrical or electronic engineering.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Industry qualifications such as NRSWA, G39 and ECS where applicable.
• Understanding of Health & Safety and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, fault-find and commission traffic signal, signs and ITS equipment.
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Provide practical guidance to Engineers and Trainee Engineers on site.
• Support standby and call-out arrangements as required.
