Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across a range of high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence, suitable for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Joining Telent's Engineering Team, you'll be empowered to innovate and collaborate with technical experts, contributing to critical infrastructure projects that keep the nation connected and protected 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and crossings, including specifications
• Provide technical oversight and develop ideas for new products or services
• Design and validate MOVA systems and datasets
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Validate MOVA for junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience in designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with a fresh perspective on traffic signal solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller
• Experience with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
