Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and collaborate with technical experts, contributing to critical infrastructure connectivity and protection 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and crossings, including specifications
• Oversee development of new products or services and design plans
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and Datasets
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA Validations for junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Experience in designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking advancement to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with fresh perspectives in Traffic Signal Design.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA Tools, Datasets, and Linking
• Experience with LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
