Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across a range of high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence, suitable for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working closely with technical experts committed to impactful work. Help build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and protection 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs of complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, including specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and plans
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Apply knowledge of standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA Validations on complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Previous experience in designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings is essential. The candidate should be aiming to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role, bringing a fresh perspective to existing solutions in traffic signal design.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
