Job summary

Bristol City Council is seeking a Traffic Engineer to lead the delivery of traffic and transport projects across the city. You will design and implement technical solutions to enhance Bristol's highway infrastructure and provide expert guidance to colleagues, elected members and the public.

The role requires experience in traffic engineering or transport planning, with knowledge of transport legislation. You will communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and help drive service

Qualifications

• Experience in traffic engineering, transport planning or related discipline.
• Sound understanding of transport legislation and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of traffic and transport projects and service improvements.
• Design and implement technical solutions for Bristol's highway infrastructure.
• Provide expert advice to colleagues, elected members, stakeholders and the public.
• Manage and coordinate project activities to meet objectives and timescales.
• Interpret and communicate complex technical information to support decision-making.
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement within the Transport Division.
