Bristol City Council is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to lead high-profile transport projects, provide expert technical advice, and help shape safer, more sustainable travel across the city.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in traffic engineering, transport planning or a related professional discipline.
• Experience in project management, stakeholder engagement and collaborative working, with ability to handle multiple priorities and communicate complex information.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate complex and high-profile traffic and transport projects.
• Provide specialist technical expertise and authoritative advice across the Transport Service.
• Develop and implement solutions that improve Bristol's transport network and service delivery.
• Build effective partnerships with internal teams, stakeholders and external organisations.
• Manage project resources and monitor progress to ensure delivery against targets and timescales.
• Support service improvement, innovation and the development of transport strategies and objectives.
