Job summary

Woodgate & Clark Limited is seeking aSenior TPPD Loss Adjuster to support a mixed portfolio of major and complex TPPD claims across commercial property, including construction risks.

The role requires a well-organised, proactive professional able to work to tight deadlines, provide mentoring within the Liability team and ensure regulatory compliance. Expect UK travel as needed to handle larger losses and maintain service levels.

Qualifications

• Proven technical competence in handling TPPD claims.
• Detail oriented: converting analysis into prelim and final report format.
• Able to apply and demonstrate ‘But If’ principles during evaluation for informed decision making.
• Excellent customer service through the lifecycle of the claim.
• Proven decision-making skills, including quantum and repudiation.
• Structured and organised approach, prioritising accordingly and mitigating risk of complaints.
• Ensuring Client SLA’s and quality standards are met.
• Competent use of technology.
• Customer focused with workload management skills and teamwork.
• Compliance – meeting KPI’s and SLA’s.
• Proactive problem solving and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage a portfolio of major and complex TPPD claims, including construction liability risks.
• Site visits when necessary and gathering third party evidence.
• Build rapport and understand operations impacting the claim with Insured, Broker and Insurer.
• Set accurate reserves and present them to insurers.
• Negotiate settlements within policy terms.
• Provide reports on policy analysis, quantum, BI if relevant, and next actions.
• Instruct and monitor experts (lawyers, surveyors, etc.).
• Establish and communicate a plan with all parties.
• Calculate interim payments and final settlements with evidence.
• Mentor junior liability team members and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Travel across the UK for larger complex losses.
