Job summary

Woodgate & Clark Limited is hiring a Senior TPPD Loss Adjuster to support proactive claims handling for major and complex TPPD, including construction liabilities. You will travel within the UK to sites, work with Insured, Brokers and Insurers, and lead a small liability team with guidance from senior colleagues.

The role demands exceptional organization, a systematic approach, and proven experience in Liability/TPPD across the full claims cycle.

Qualifications

• Proven technical competence and expertise in handling TPPD claims.
• Detail orientated: converting analysis into prelim and final report format.
• Able to apply and demonstrate ‘But If’ principles during evaluation for informed decision making.
• Ensuring an excellent standard of customer service through the lifecycle of the claim.
• Proven decision-making skills, including quantum and repudiation.
• Structured and organised approach, prioritising accordingly and mitigating risk.
• Ensuring Client SLA’s and quality standards are met.
• Competent use of technology.
• Customer focused, providing quality service and workload management.
• Team focused – working with colleagues throughout the business.
• Compliance – KPI’s and SLA’s met.
• Manage and respond to complaints and compliments.
• Able to deliver against a balanced score card of performance targets.
• An organised self-starter; able to scope administrative projects and drive initiatives.
• Logical and systematic in approach, delivering with accuracy and deadlines.
• Sound written and verbal communication skills.
• Quick learner (training provided).
• Able to travel throughout the UK when handling larger complex losses.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage a portfolio of major and complex TPPD claims, including construction liability risks.
• Conduct site visits when necessary and gather evidence with third parties.
• Build rapport and understand cover with Insured, Broker, and Insurer.
• Identify and verify information to set accurate reserves for insurers.
• Negotiate settlements within policy terms.
• Assess issues and provide pragmatic solutions for major/complex claims.
• Prepare comprehensive reports including policy analysis and quantum.
• Instruct and monitor experts such as lawyers and surveyors as appropriate.
• Establish and agree communication plans with all parties.
• Calculate interim payments and prepare interim reports.
• Prepare final settlement reports with documentation.
• Maintain ongoing professional development and compliance with regulations.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior Liability team members.
• Carry out other duties as required by the Company.
