Vivid Resourcing Ltd in Manchester City Centre is seeking an experienced Associate Director Town Planner to lead planning projects across residential, regeneration and mixed-use sectors. You will manage client relationships, guide strategy, and drive successful submissions while mentoring the planning team.

The role offers a senior position within a growing consultancy, with opportunities to shape the Manchester team and expand the business footprint in the North West and wider UK.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within a planning consultancy environment.
• Strong track record delivering complex development projects.
• Excellent knowledge of UK planning policy and processes.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate effectively.
• Experience mentoring junior planners and leading project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning projects from appraisal through submission and delivery.
• Provide commercially focused planning advice to developers, landowners and investors.
• Manage a portfolio of residential, regeneration and mixed-use projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, local authorities and wider teams.
• Lead pre-application discussions, planning applications and negotiations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams and manage project programmes.
• Identify planning opportunities, risks and solutions across sites.
• Mentor and develop junior and senior planning staff.
• Support business development and win new instructions.
