Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Consultant in Town Planning and Consenting to work within the Infrastructure Planning Team in the UK. You will support major projects, provide technical planning advice to clients and help manage consenting requirements from feasibility to consent delivery.

You will coordinate submissions under the Town and Country Planning Acts and related regimes, negotiate with statutory bodies, and mentor colleagues across disciplines to deliver projects efficiently.

Qualifications

• Degree in town planning or equivalent.
• Member of (or eligible for) RTPI.
• Ability to provide technical planning advice to clients.

Responsibilities

• Support and take responsibility for town planning inputs on major infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical advice to clients and manage consenting requirements.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of consent applications under planning Acts.
• Negotiate with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients.
• Engage with cross-disciplinary teams and supervise others in delivery.
