Job summary

Lighthouse Games in Leamington Spa is seeking a Senior Tools Engineer for our Vehicle Team to build and maintain robust tools enabling artists and developers to create high-quality vehicle content.

You will work with Vehicle Artists, Technical Artists and Engineers to improve workflows, mentor peers, and promote engineering best practices across the team. Unreal Engine experience and a passion for tooling are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Tools Engineer on one or more AAA titles.
• Knowledge of common DCC tools: 3ds Max, Maya, Substance Suite and Houdini.
• Passion for tools development and improving the working environment for artists and developers.
• Strong understanding of code architecture, maintainability and best practices in software development.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems across content creation pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Passion for gaming, game development and high-quality vehicle content.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve robust tools that support the creation and implementation of high-quality vehicle content.
• Work closely with Vehicle Artists, Technical Artists and Engineers to identify and resolve technical problems throughout the vehicle pipeline.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflows, productivity and the reliability of our vehicle tools and processes.
• Actively contribute to and encourage our collaborative and creative team spirit.
