Job summary

Allstate NI is seeking a Threat Modeling - Platform Consultant Senior Expert to drive secure-by-design across enterprise platforms and embed threat modeling into new and existing applications.

You will influence architecture, guide engineering teams, and collaborate with Product Security, Security Operations, and Architecture to improve security posture and deliver resilient, scalable solutions in a hybrid/remote environment.

Qualifications

• Legal right to work in the UK; sponsorship not provided.
• 5+ years in software engineering, security engineering, solutions architecture, technical project management, or platform engineering in complex enterprises.
• Experience as a strategic technical advisor, consultant, architect, or security partner supporting engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of threat modeling methodologies such as STRIDE, Attack Trees, Kill Chains.
• Experience identifying and mitigating security threats in cloud-native, distributed, API-driven apps.
• Experience with CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted security consultant to engineering teams on secure architecture, platform design, and threat modeling.
• Lead threat modeling engagements across multiple applications, platforms, and domains to identify risks early.
• Embed secure-by-design principles into software delivery processes from discovery to production.
• Define, communicate, and influence platform security strategies with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop risk-based security recommendations balancing security, business objectives, and developer experience.
• Collaborate with Security Operations and Product Security to improve threat detection and breach modeling.
• Facilitate architectural reviews and threat modeling sessions for informed security decisions.
• Champion AI security, API security, SaaS security, and automation initiatives.
