Job summary

Janestreet is seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen the security of applications, data, infrastructure, and processes. You will combine offensive security work with collaboration across teams to embed security in design choices from the ground up.

You’ll perform threat modeling, translate security principles into architectural improvements, and partner with system owners to balance security controls with business needs.

Qualifications

• Offensive security background.
• Ability to design and implement secure solutions from the ground up.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex issues on whiteboards.
• Skilled at evaluating security tradeoffs and making risk-based decisions.
• Excellent communicator with collaborative mindset.
• Ability to teach threat modeling to others.
• Strong Linux background and scripting ability.
• Accountability and ability to document decision rationale.
• Programming knowledge is a plus.
• Fluency in English.
