North Middlesex Hospital, part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, seeks a Senior Equipment Manager to oversee instruments, implants and consumables for a seven-theatre MEMU supporting perioperative surgery.

You will raise orders, check deliveries, ensure infection control, reconcile invoices and maintain records in theatre IT systems while liaising with clinical teams, procurement and company representatives; NHS procurement experience is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Qualification in perioperative care, or equivalent NHS experience.
• Experience of NHS procurement processes.
• Evidence of literacy and numeracy to GCSE level or equivalent.
• Intermediate IT and administration skills.
• Estates and facilities knowledge.

Aufgaben

• Raise orders for instruments, implants and consumables with procurement and clinical teams.
• Check, receive and process orders for specific operations and theatre use.
• Ensure infection control, decontamination and theatre processes are followed.
• Check invoices against items used and receipt invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of order details and costs using data systems.
• Identify equipment needed for future surgery and liaise with company reps to order.
• Liaise with MEMU and theatre management on maintenance and storage of equipment.
• Liaise with Theatre Matron, TSSU and MEMU on decontamination records and charges.
• Ensure instruments are processed for procedure dates and available for collection.
• Troubleshoot theatre equipment and support perioperative patient care.
• Maintain national registries such as the National Joint Registry as required by the NHS.
