Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Manage principles testing of projects of all types, sizes, and complexities.
• Work under pressure and demonstrate initiative within a highly regulated environment.
• Communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
• Hold a thorough understanding of signalling basics and testing compliance.
• Report to the Testing and Commissioning Engineer (Principles).
• Balance fixed office-based testing with site-based activities, including lodging away and working unsocial hours.
• Must hold a full UK driving Licence.

Requirements:

• Experience in Railway Signalling Testing/Commissioning.
• Principles and Functional Tester IRSE Licence.
• Knowledge of Network Rail Signal Works Testing Handbook and fundamentals testing requirements.
• Substantial railway signalling experience, especially with Computer Based Interlocking schemes.
• Good personnel management and communication skills.
• Current Driving Licence.
• Able to deputise for the Testing & Commissioning Engineer (Principles).
