Job description

Our Government client is looking for multiple Principal Test Engineers. This role requires 'Head of QA' level of experience. The position will be INSIDE IR35, with hybrid travel to London. SC clearance is required but can be sponsored (you must be eligible).

Essential Skills

You'll have a demonstrable passion for Test Engineering, with experience or skills in:

1. Working at senior leadership level, establishing and maintaining organizational networks, and engaging with other senior leaders.
2. Leading a technical service or a team of test engineers.
3. Developing organizational-level test approaches for Quality Engineering, CI/CD, and release management within complex agile environments.
4. Solid understanding and experience of cloud services, microservice architecture, performance quality engineering, observability, Infrastructure as Code, and SRE principles.
5. Setting strategic direction for test automation frameworks, test infrastructure, environment optimization, virtualization, and containerization.
6. Designing, building, deploying, and improving test engineering capabilities to support QAT strategies.
7. Selecting and deploying tools and techniques, including open-source technologies. Experience in scaling quality engineering, object-oriented design patterns, and programming languages like Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Python.
