Job summary

Copello Global Ltd is seeking a Lead Engineer specialising in Test & Integration for a leading defence and engineering organisation in Cumbria. The role focuses on technical leadership of software test design, planning and V&V activities across the engineering lifecycle.

You will oversee test programme direction, coordinate documentation reviews and ensure compliance with IEEE standards and safety requirements. On-site work with relocation support offered; SC clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in a relevant field.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards chartership.
• Extensive software testing experience including automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead test engineers and contractors in defining and delivering the agreed programme of test activities.
• Oversee test design, coordinate the review of test documentation and manage associated workflows.
• Ensure delivery teams carry out V&V activities in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Identify software testing training needs across the team and maintain skilled staff.
• Provide specialist guidance on test documentation and system design.
