Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• CEng status or working towards chartership.
• Significant software testing experience including automation.
• Experience in complex engineering environments (marine, nuclear, etc).
• Knowledge of IEEE 829-2008 and IEEE 15288:2015.
• Experience with electrical control systems and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to test engineers and contractors.
• Oversee test design, planning and governance across the programme.
• Ensure V&V activities align with procedures and requirements.
• Identify training needs to maintain a skilled testing workforce.
• Provide expert guidance on test documentation and system design.
• Support production of robust test evidence for platform testing and in-service readiness.
