Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead testing across system, integration, and non‑functional domains for the ESN EMCP programme. You will drive test strategy, develop cases, manage defects, and work with a cross‑functional, multi‑supplier team to assure mission‑critical services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering functional, integration, system, acceptance and non-functional testing activities within complex software or systems integration programmes.
• Strong technical testing capability with leadership in test planning, execution and defect management.
• Experience in customer-facing and multi-supplier environments with representation of the test function.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of test work packages, including scope, effort estimates and schedules.
• Represent the test function in a multi-supplier delivery environment and build relationships with customers and partners.
• Plan, coordinate and execute multi-party test activities with Home Office, customers and third parties.
• Support interoperability testing across complex distributed systems and validate data exchange.
• Contribute to non-functional testing including security, performance and reliability.
• Work with cloud-based deliveries and test environments, supporting service transition.
• Lead customer-facing test events, workshops and assurance activities.
• Drive improvements in test practices and automation frameworks.
