Zusammenfassung

Medtronic seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to design and build automated test solutions for embedded and device software in the DTBU. You will work with hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure reliability, safety, and performance of OR devices and edge systems.

You will implement scalable automation, contribute to CI/CD, and drive quality across the product lifecycle while commuting to the London office 3–4 days a week.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software automation and test development (or 2+ with advanced degree).
• Strong proficiency in test automation development (Python, Java).
• Hands-on with manual test management tools and automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Espresso).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Experience testing embedded or connected hardware devices (edge/IoT).
• Understanding of hardware-software interaction and debugging logs.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for device software.
• Collaborate with engineers to define test scenarios and architectures.
• Develop and execute automated test strategies for embedded and IoT systems.
• Create test plans for REST, IPC, WebUI, and OTA updates.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines with automated quality gates.
• Document standards and best practices for test and QA.
