Job summary

Valero Pembrokeshire Oil Terminal (VPOT) is recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to support safe, reliable operation of terminal assets at Milford Haven. You will undertake planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding and condition monitoring across mechanical equipment in a COMAH-regulated facility.

Key duties include pump overhauls, valve maintenance, safety valve testing and repair, laser alignment, lifting operations and CMMS data management.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical apprenticeship or City & Guilds qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Maths, English and Science education to suitable standard.
• Experience in oil, gas, petrochemical, power generation or similar industries is preferred.
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Carry out reactive maintenance and fault-finding across plant assets.
• Conduct inspections, testing and condition monitoring of equipment.
