Job summary

Valero Pembroke Refinery is seeking a Refinery Operator to maintain product quality in a safe, compliant manner. You will perform visual rounds, monitor equipment operation, take instrument readings, and communicate with the console operator.

This non-exempt position is eligible for overtime. Training is provided through Valero’s on-the-job program, with opportunities for progression within a Fortune 500 fuels company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' continuous employment in heavy industrial environments.
• At least 3 years experience in operational/maintenance/technical roles.
• Must be legally authorised to work in the UK.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Maintain product quality in a safe and compliant manner.
• Perform visual rounds, assess equipment operation and take instrument readings.
• Communicate with console operator and supervise other refinery personnel.
• Prepare equipment for scheduled maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with environmental and safety procedures.
