Job summary

Xylem is seeking an experienced Senior Tendering Engineer in Nottingham to respond to customer enquiries by telephone and email, interpret requirements, and support the Tendering Team in delivering accurate, timely and commercially sound solutions.

You will collaborate with customers, the external sales team and colleagues across the organisation, applying technical knowledge to pump selection and related equipment while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service role handling enquiries or complaints.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment supporting customers by telephone and email.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Professional, polite and customer-focused approach.
• Good organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries by telephone and email.
• Interpret customer requirements and technical information.
• Develop competence in the selection of pumps and related ancillary equipment.
• Understand internal sales processes and procedures.
• Support the Tendering Team in providing accurate and timely responses.
• Work towards departmental KPIs and targets as prioritised by the Department Manager.
• Maintain accurate records and support the review and improvement of procedures.
