Job summary

Xylem Water Solutions Netherlands is seeking an Applications Engineer – Wastewater Treatment to join the UK team. You will develop technical and commercial proposals for wastewater treatment projects, supporting site assessments through to solution design and tender submissions.

Working in a hybrid role across Warrington and Nottingham, you will translate customer requirements into engineered, commercially viable solutions, cost projects, and collaborate with sales and engineering colleagues to

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Process Engineering.
• Experience in wastewater treatment or water technology.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technically sound, commercially viable solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical and commercial proposals for wastewater treatment solutions.
• Design and select solutions across Xylem's treatment portfolio.
• Prepare techno-commercial offers and tender submissions for UK water utilities.
• Translate site conditions and standards, including WIMES, into engineered solutions.
• Support project costing, pricing and commercial development.
• Collaborate with Sales Managers to deliver proposals on time.
• Provide technical input during customer meetings, negotiations and training.
