Burns & McDonnell seeks a Senior Temporary Works Engineer for Transmission to oversee design, installation and ongoing maintenance of temporary works across UK transmission projects. You will ensure safety, compliance with BS5975:2019 and company procedures while coordinating with engineering, construction and client teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Construction or related field with several years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of transmission systems, construction practices and safety regulations.
• Ability to review and analyse technical documentation and provide guidance.
• Experience coordinating temporary works with design and site teams.

Responsabilités

• Provide a link between construction management, engineering design, clients and subcontractors for safe project delivery.
• Identify temporary works requirements for projects within the portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with safety regs, industry standards and project specifications.
• Oversee subcontractors on site to ensure safe, robust temporary works with proper design and RAMS.
• Coordinate Temporary Works design, drawings, calculations and approvals for construction.
• Develop and own the Temporary Works Register for specific projects.
• Maintain regular site presence and coordinate inspections and control measures.
• Share TW design information with relevant parties including client and permanent works designers.
