Strata Consulting in Bristol is seeking a Senior Temporary Works Engineer to lead design and delivery of temporary works across major UK projects. You will own technical solutions, work with clients and contractors, and mentor junior engineers.

You'll benefit from a supportive team, active long-term career progression, and structured development towards Chartership, with ongoing professional training and collaboration with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a design-focused consultancy role within the UK construction industry.
• Strong understanding of temporary works design and BS5975.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, with the ability to produce and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to prepare engineering calculations and develop practical, buildable design solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise directly with clients and contractors.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior engineers would be advantageous.
• Working towards, or already holding, Chartered status with ICE or IStructE would be desirable.
• A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
