Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior Temporary Works Engineer to lead temporary works design and management on a broad range of construction projects across the UK. You will contribute from concept through delivery, supporting complex infrastructure schemes within a leading consultancy.

Locations include Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich and Plymouth with agile working and up to 1-2 days per week from home if desired.

Qualifications

• IEng or CEng progression, or working towards CEng status, with relevant experience.
• Strong grounding in civil, structural and geotechnical engineering principles and applicable design standards.
• Experience in temporary works design/management or practical construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of temporary works design and checking across multiple projects.
• Reviewing permanent designs for compliance and buildability, supporting tenders and preconstruction planning.
• Developing yourself and the wider team, contributing to continuous improvement of processes and systems.
