Job summary

Carrington West seeks a Senior Temporary Works Engineer to lead construction engineering services across multiple UK locations, combining temporary works design with project leadership. The role offers hybrid working with some home-based days.

You will bring strong civil/structural/geotechnical knowledge, IEng/CEng status or progress towards it, and a proven ability to manage complex temporary works schemes safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• IEng/CEng or equivalent experience required.
• Strong grounding in civil/structural/geotechnical engineering.
• Experience in temporary works design and/or management.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills; team-based work.
• Emphasis on safety, buildability, sustainability and innovative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Leading delivery of construction engineering services including temporary works design and checking.
• Reviewing permanent designs for compliance and buildability.
• Supporting tenders and preconstruction planning.
• Providing technical support to construction-stage and post-construction issues and defects.
