Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland invites applications for a Senior Temporary Works Design Engineer. The role combines office and home-based work across the UK, reporting to the Temporary Works CoE Lead UK&I.

You will provide or supervise designs and technical support to internal clients, ensuring safety, practicality and economy while adhering to BAM procedures. The role includes leading design tasks, conducting site visits and assurance audits, and mentoring staff, with a strong emphasis on CPD and process

Qualifications

• Demonstratable experience in civil engineering design for structures.
• Proven experience with design/analysis software and drafting/modelling tools.
• Chartered membership or equivalent level of responsibility in a professional institution.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Temporary Works CoE at internal and external meetings.
• Lead or support as Lead Designer on projects and bids.
• Prepare conceptual and detailed designs with calculations and 3D model data.
