Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our established Social Infrastructure, Nuclear and Defence pre-construction team. You will coordinate with bid teams, manage budgets, and develop cost estimates across design stages, contributing to value engineering and optioneering.

You will work with clients, designers and supply chain stakeholders in a flexible, hybrid setup across England and Wales, with office locations nominated as your base.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive civil engineering, infrastructure or major project delivery experience.
• Proven experience leading complex estimates and tender submissions.
• Experience pricing diverse civil engineering disciplines with knowledge of production rates.
• Understanding of NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with bid teams and pre-construction groups.
• Manage and deliver cost estimates across design stages.
• Support ECI project budget development and value engineering.
• Contribute to optioneering and feasibility studies.
• Prepare tender documentation and correspondence.
• Liaise with clients, designers, consultants and supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with BAM bid governance.
