Job summary

SP Energy Networks in Birkenhead is seeking a Senior Field Engineer (Telecoms) to support the planning, delivery and cost effectiveness of Operational Telecom infrastructure. You will deliver telecom projects for adds, moves and changes and collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to meet the 'Request for Service' dates.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering and proven project management experience, with strong IP networking knowledge and HSSEQ

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in Project Management within a utility telecoms context.
• Experience with IP networking technologies (LAN/WAN/Firewall).

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and effective delivery of telecom projects and activities.
• Review site safety and contractor practices; approve CHG requests.
• Coordinate with internal teams and customers to meet project plans and budgets.
• Forecast and report budgets and CAPEX/OPEX.
