Job summary

Surbana Jurong in the UK is seeking a Senior Technology Support Specialist to provide onsite and remote IT support across Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh. You will resolve hardware, software and network issues, support meeting-room technology and help keep endpoint devices secure, current and reliable.

The role requires a degree in IT or related field with several years' experience in a large corporate environment, strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Teams, and vendor

Qualifications

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field with 4-5 years' relevant experience, or a relevant diploma with 7-8 years' experience.
• Experience providing IT support in a large corporate environment, ideally supporting around 200 users.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Teams, endpoint support, network troubleshooting and remote support tools.
• Experience managing tickets, IT assets, vendors and small technology projects.
• A customer-focused approach with strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to take ownership, manage priorities and support or mentor colleagues.
• Modern Desktop Administration, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or ITIL Foundation certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
• Configure equipment and software, diagnose faults and keep users informed through to resolution.
• Support video-conferencing, meeting-room technology and office IT setups or relocations.
• Prepare equipment and access for new starters, deliver IT inductions and recover devices during offboarding.
• Maintain accurate tickets, asset records, procedures and training materials.
• Manage endpoint procurement, storage, refresh activity, secure data erasure and disposal.
• Coordinate vendors and monitor service and SLA performance.
• Lead local desktop projects, mentor colleagues and improve support processes.
