Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a full-time senior technician for the Pharmacy Technical Services unit. The post holder will manage operations, deputise for senior staff, and support cytotoxic reconstitution and CIVAS workflows.

The role requires GPhC or Science Council registration, NHS experience, and strong people management skills. Training and development opportunities are offered within a growing cancer services context.

Qualifications

• GPhC or Science Council registration is required.
• Recent NHS experience in technical services is preferred.
• Experience supervising junior staff and conducting inductions.
• Knowledge of GMP and dispensing/compounding procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

• Help manage and develop all operational aspects of technical services.
• Ensure services are safe, efficient and compliant with QA standards and GMP.
• Monitor and improve unit performance and quality for cancer services.
• Coordinate workload for sterile cytotoxic reconstitution and CIVAS.
• Liaise with chemotherapy day unit staff across grades.
• Produce reports on unit performance, dispensing errors and incidents.
