Job summary
LA International is seeking a Technical Transformation Lead to drive engineering transformation within a complex MOD technology programme. The role requires senior engineering leadership, governance expertise and broad knowledge across cloud, infrastructure and DevOps, with active DV clearance.
You will align multiple workstreams, establish standardised processes, and lead ITIL/SAFe governance while coordinating suppliers and stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant outcomes.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in senior engineering, architecture or technical transformation leadership roles.
- Broad technical knowledge across cloud, infrastructure, networks, software engineering and service operations.
- Strong governance experience within Design Authority environments.
- Experience delivering complex cloud and DevOps transformation programmes.
- Familiarity with Agile, ITIL and SAFe delivery in enterprise settings.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience managing multiple suppliers and stakeholders.
- MOD/Defence or regulated environments desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering transformation across a complex MOD technology programme.
- Develop and maintain the programme engineering strategy, ensuring delivery meets cost, quality and timescale.
- Align cloud, network, infrastructure, workplace, software, support and service management workstreams.
- Establish consistent engineering processes, standards, governance and lifecycle guidance.
- Work within the customer Design Authority and lead technical governance and assurance activities.
- Ensure suppliers produce governed and assured designs and artefacts.
- Establish agile/SAFe/ITIL delivery approaches where appropriate.
- Support transition to a stable ITIL-aligned live service.
- Define engineering tooling requirements across the programme.
- Drive improvements across DevOps, CI/CD, IaC and automation.
- Lead technical teams, suppliers and the Engineering Community of Practice.
- Influence senior stakeholders across customers, architecture, programme leadership and suppliers.
- MOD/Defence/regulatory environments experience.
