You will line manage a Technical Architect and Delivery Lead, coordinate resources, and drive delivery improvements across secure environments.

The role requires hands-on leadership in Azure, cybersecurity, governance and vendor management, with SC clearance or eligibility and willingness

Qualifications

• Senior IT leadership across digital, infrastructure, cloud and cyber.
• Strong Azure platform, identity governance and security understanding.
• Ability to guide and challenge outsourced IT providers.
• Broad networking and enterprise tech knowledge.
• Experience in secure, multi-customer environments and with NIST.
• Proven team leadership and vendor management experience.
• SC clearance (or eligible) required; willing to travel.

Job description

A defence transformation programme is looking for an experienced Entity Manager to lead organisational change across multiple engineering businesses.

In this position you will line manage a Technical Architect and Delivery Lead focussing on IT Infrastructure across several entities who sit within the Defence industry.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to understand how each business operates, identify operational challenges, prioritise improvement activity and coordinate specialist resources where they're needed most.

This is a hands‑on transformation role requiring someone comfortable entering complex environments, establishing structure and driving delivery improvements.

You'll ideally have experience with:

• Senior IT roles overseeing digital, infrastructure, cloud, and cyber operations.
• Strong understanding of Azure platforms, architecture, identity, governance, and security.
• Proven ability to guide, challenge, and collaborate with outsourced IT providers.
• Broad understanding of networking, infrastructure, and enterprise technologies.
• Experience in multi‑customer, multi‑classification, secure environments.
• Experience in cybersecurity, NIST frameworks, and assurance processes.
• Experience leading teams and managing vendors.
• SC Clearance (or eligible).
• Initial 6-month contract
• Travel across Berkshire, Wiltshire and Surrey
• Active SC Clearance or eligibility required

You will travel between 3 sites - in Wiltshire, Berkshire and Surrey.
