Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to drive growth across the UK water treatment market from a remote base. You will identify opportunities, nurture existing clients and collaborate with Marketing to grow the business.

The role requires at least 2 years' relevant sales experience, knowledge of water treatment technologies, and a proactive approach to building long-term client relationships. A company car and remote working are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' proven sales or business development experience within the water treatment industry.
• Experience and knowledge of water treatment technologies such as reverse osmosis, water softening, filtration or ion exchange; or industrial wastewater treatment.
• A strong understanding of the complete sales process from enquiry to order completion.
• Proven track record of developing and nurturing strong client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercially focused and proactive in identifying and converting new opportunities.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities and customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and pursue new business opportunities across the UK.
• Analyse market trends and contribute to sales and marketing strategies.
• Generate sales leads through proactive business development activity.
• Manage and follow up leads from website, existing customers and general enquiries.
• Prepare quotations and costings using Microsoft Office.
• Present quotations to clients and manage follow-up through to completion.
• Understand and respond to customer requirements in line with commercial and technical specifications.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and report on sales activity.
